I’m one of the millions of people who love to travel everywhere, We have a habit that when we go to other place we couldn’t forget to buy some souvenirs in that particular place. I have an habit on that every time I visit to other place. Most of the place I visit is only here in the Philippines but I proud to say that Philippines has a great place to spend especially during summer time. We have been blessed by nature and some minerals to support our daily lives.

Every morning when I’m go to office I like to walk than to ride a jeep going to the main terminal of PUV, this is my usually habit. As days, weeks pass by I notice mountain which beautiful to look when sunrise come. So at that time I feel interest to our beautiful and good nature what we have right now, every time I walk I saw the two beautiful mountains in front of me together the clean and beautiful ocean. Supposed to be this post will be after the holly week but I don’t have time to post this in my blog. I’m so busy after the holly week vacation because of my work and some curricular activity.

After holly week the next celebration is the feast of divine mercy. This is my second year that witnesses the feast of divine mercy, which is located at El Salvador Misamis Oriental Cagayan de Oro city. Every feast of divine mercy there are two mass will happened, the first mass will be on the dawn at around 4:30 am and the second mass will be on the afternoon at around 4:30 pm. In the second mass, the priest who lead is Father Pacana from Malaybalay City. The first time I visit in divine mercy place was 2007 and the statue of divine mercy was not yet completed but you can see the whole body of the divine mercy is already standing; the statue is 50 feet tall. There are lots of religious group who join and witness the feast of the divine mercy. I was so excited in this year when I visit the place, it because I would like to see it again and I’m happy when I see it co’z it is almost finish.

Last week we have a long vacation and I hope you spend your vacation wisely especially to those people who have work. As an employee there is only few months that have a long day vacation, just like this march we have a Holy Week which has Four (4) days in relaxing our selves including Saturday and Sunday.
I and my partner together with our friends spend our Holy Week at Camiguin Island for the three (3) reasons. The 1st reason is, this is my 1st step in Camiguin Island and I’m so exited to go there and to experience the new things out there and also to meet our grand, grand parents in this Island. The 2nd reason is I would like to experience there PANAAD 2008which is held every year and a tradition they will walk around the Camiguin as a sacrifice. My 3rd and final reason is to visit there beautiful spot because we know that summer is almost there and Camiguin Island has many places that tourist would like to visit it.
They have lots of spring (Sto. Nino COLD SPRING and ARDENT COLD SPRING), there beautiful mountains, the falls (KATIBAWASAN FALLS)that they have, the OLD CHURCH of Camiguin Island and whose to forget to visit there SUNKEN Cemetery in the middle of the sea if you are there and don’t forget to experience the enjoyment of there White Island, Walk there WALKWAY and there RUNWAY. These are the few beautiful places I’ve visited and enjoy at Camiguin Island. There are lots of tourist spot there which is I did not visit it. There are also big an known resorts in Camiguin just like the HIGHLAND RESORT which is they are popular when it comes to falls, the PARAS RESORT a resort which is in a seaside and in front of the white island.

Wwooowww…yes…yehey… This is the expression when we witness the KAAMULAN FESTIVAL last Saturday March 8,08 at Malaybalay City the Capital City of the province of Bukidnon. We are so exited to witness their festival because some of us are first time to step in Malaybalay although it is near to our city. We leave Cagayan de Oro around 7 am and at around 9 am we’ve been there already. It’s a 2 hours trip going there, the transportation that we used to go there is only a bus and the fare is about 140 pesos one (1) way for the air con bus.

When we reach the City we go directly to the place where they held there street dancing which is the KAAMULAM place. There are 9 participants who join the street dancing competitions. There are many people who witness the festival some of them are foreigners and others are students travelers including us as a tourist who come from different places in the Philippines. We are so enjoy during the festival not only by the place where they have in the city but the celebration and especially the food trip that we had. This festival will hold every March of the year.

I think most of Filipinos are like a souvenirs, as I observe that is one of the common attitude of the Filipinos. If we can go to other country or even in a place here in the Philippines we can’t forget to buy a souvenir in that place especially when you are a tourist in the place.

Here in Cagayan de Oro there are lots of foreigners and student tourists who like to visit and to explore some things that they did not yet experience. Most of the thing that they would like to experience her in the City of Golden Friendship is the Water Rafting and some adventures that only in CDO will be seen. But the most things they like is during night café because this is the night where people having fun and enjoy there selves.

We know that Cagayan de Oro is one of the growing cities in Mindanao which has many places that we can consider as a tourist spot. Cagayan de Oro is a place where people are so friendly and kind, that’s why they called it as a City of Golden Friendship. I think all the tourist has been in Cagayan de Oro are enjoying when the time that they stay in the City of Golden Friendship. When you have planned to go in Cagayan de Oro then you most not miss that day to experience there white water rafting.

Because of this white water rafting of Cagayan de Oro, they already features in some television show where in consider as one (1) of the beautiful place in the Philippines. Most of the host in the television when they features the white water rafting of Cagayan de Oro they did not miss to experience the rapid of the water in white water rafting where in they enjoy a lot. Will this year is a great year for me. I have many place in my mind that I would like to visit this year, I got 3 places in my list. 1st place in my list the Camiguin island, I would like to experience the white sand of camiguin island. I think by month of april first week that will be the time we will go to Camiguin. The 2nd place is the DAKAK, Our tour in this place will in the month of april also. The 3rd place in my list is the Bohol, we will go back to bohol when in this year, but this time we go with our friends.Our plan is to make a round trip to bohol. Its better to tour first to our own country and explore things in nature to our beloved country.

From MOAP to Oroquieta (The Green City of the Philippines) to Dipolog City (The Orchid City of the Philippines). That was our trip in one day during we tour last November 2007. We reach to Dipolog City because my partner and me want to witness the opening of the Gloria De Dapitan. Gloria De Dapitan is like a world of fun where in you will enjoy in playing their toys. The place have a carnaval, bomb car and many to mention, I saw lots of parents their having enjoyed in the place and while watching their children play they are enjoying in the VIDEOKE to sing their favorite songs. Gloria De Dapitan is a seaside place, which is a very nice place for the family bonding. The opening was so nice and lots of beautiful fireworks are there I think. Not only the people of Dipolog witness the opening of the Gloria De Dapitan but also people far away in Dapitan, just like us we were from Cagayan de Oro City.

After in Gloria De Dapitan we decide to go to sea breeze café it is a restobar, which has a live band, the food and drinks are affordable. The bar is a seaside and overlooking place. When we finish jamming in sea breeze café we go to boulevard and eat some ballot there…ahehe…Boulevard is a seaside park of dipolog and it is a very nice place to relax after work, you can witness the sunset and sunrise in this park. I observe also that Boulevard Park during dawn there are many people jogging in this place. Dipolog is a nice place to explore. 15 minutes travel away from dipolog you can reach the Dakak bay where in our next destination next year to my partner. After in MOAP our next destination is the Oroquieta City. We don’t have planned to go to Oroquieta in that travel because our main destination is only the MOAP place. But we both agree that instead we will stay in MOAP place we will stay at Oroquieta, because it’s to expensive in MOAP to stay coz we are only 2. Around 4 pm we travel going to oroquieta The Green City of the Philippines. The travel hour from MOAP to Oroquieta is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. My observation during our trip going to Oroquieta is that the place is so clean and they have some warning billboards about how to care the nature. Oroquieta City is just a small city but it is the cleanest city I’ve ever visited. But did you know guys that Oroquieta had derived its name from the word ‘ORO’ and ‘KITA’. The early inhabitants then had found gold along the river. The name ‘ORO’ which means Gold and ‘QUITA’ or ‘KITA’ which means to find. We spend only few hours to stay in Oroquieta coz after that we go to dipolog, The Orchid City of the Philippines. I’ve got only few pictures in Oroquieta the Green City of the Philippines.
