Starbucks Cagayan de oro

Specifically Starbucks Coffee located at the former Parking A of Limketkai Center, south of McDonalds, and east of Missy Bon Bon. Finally Cagay-anons now have our own Starbucks in the City. Here are some pictures. This is your CDO Guide given you information about our City.

Ayala Hotel

The rumor of Ayala mall is over. Ayala Land, Inc. has lined up several project launches for 2010 including a 150-room hotel in Cagayan de Oro City scheduled in December 2010. Perhaps this is one of their so-called boutique hotels.

This was revealed during Ayala’s presentation at the JP Morgan Asia Pacific Conference (New York) and A Roadshow c/o JP Morgan (San Francisco) held in the United States last June 28-30, 2010 and July 1-2, 2010, respectively.

The slide above and below are just some of the slides which indicates the hotel project in Cagayan de Oro. Of course, the mall project will have to be launched in the fourth quarter also of this year. If my math is right, a 150-room hotel would need at least 10 storeys for a space in the Floirendo lot, unless of course Ayala will construct it in another property.

Let’s welcome the new bread shop in Cagayan de Oro the Missy Bon-Bon bread shop. Looking for a comfortable bread shop? Well, I can recommend you guys to visit the Missy Bon-Bon which is located along Rosario Drive, Limketkai Mall, Lapasan Cagayan de Oro (fronting Mc Donalds). This bread shop is a newly opened last April 16, 2010 at 7:00 AM and I can say that the foods here are so yummy and delicious I will give you some back ground what is Missy Bon-Bon Breadshop.

A hip, cozy, relaxed, world class artisanal breadshop serving healthy, freshly made bread onsite with unique fusion interpretations of local bread products, gourmet comfort food, custom gelato mixes and a selection of freshly brewed coffee.

Last April 24, 2010 CDO Bloggers was invited at Missy Bon-Bon for breakfast to try their food. I’m so amazed when we get inside to this bread shop, the place is so organized and the ambiance inside is so unique compare to other bread shop. One thing that I surprise is that the serving of their breakfast, the serving is twice as the ordinary order in other restaurants.

I have 3 reasons why I recommend this to you guys:

1. They have a nice place and they are so accessible to everybody
2. They have yummy foods and ready to serve us with the fleshiest, natural, healthiest bread, pastries, gelato, and more
3. And the last is that, when you eat inside in this bread shop you feel that you are dinning inside your home.

So if you would like to start your day in a good mode then visit Missy Bon-Bon, as early as 7 o’clock in the morning this bread shop is already open and it will closed at 10 pm during week days and 7 am to 12 MN during weekend. Motorela came from the word “Caretella” which is one of the most popular vehicles right now in Cagayan de Oro City. I was searching in the net this morning and I found this name Raphael Floirendo who invented the Motorela in 1964 from the word ‘motorized” and “caretella”. This Filipino inventor came from Luzon and transfer here in Cagayan de Oro; he was able to study high school at Xavier University-Ateneo De Cagayan. Raphael Floirendo earned 500 Pesos after selling the first unit which is not here but in Ozamiz City. After selling and it was known to the public the locals are using the “caretella” or the Motorela.

There is a new Bar in town in Cagayan de Oro which is located along Limketkai Drive and the bar called Light, this bar had their soft opening a couple of weeks ago. This bar believed that has a private room of video-k for friends, barkadas, family, classmates, lovers and officemates.

If you see the letter “I” in the word Light is a microphone so it means that when you will enter with this building or bar be prepare to sing and show your talent in singing. Hope that this bar will survive and will boom here in the city of Cagayan de Oro. This is your CDO GUIDE informing you guys that we have another bar in the City.
