2011 Bukidnon Kaamulan Festival Schedule

As early as this month, the Kaamulan community is now releasing the 2011 Kaamulan Festival Schedule. Obviously it’s almost one month celebration with this festival from February 18, 2011 to March 10, 2011. On March 10, 2011, the Bukidnon is celebrating also their foundation day. I’ve been visiting Kaamulan festival go back on my collage days until know I continue visiting Malaybalay Bukidnon for this Kaamulan Festival.

This is the annual gathering of the 7 tribes namely Matiglasug Tribe, Bukidnon Tribe, Manobo Tribe, Talaandig Tribe, Umayamnon Tribe and the Tiguahanon Tribe.

Kraft Eden Cheese is launch the 100 days of Christmas and this campaign will features 100 towns and cities promoting 100 unique dishes competing to be the country’s number one dish. To be part of this campaign, I’m campaigning the City of Malaybalay BUkidnon.

Before I will give you the best and delicious dish of Malaybalay Bikidnon I will give you some info in this city.

For those who did not know, Malaybalay, Bukidnon is the pineapple capital of the Philippines. It is home to one of the biggest pineapple producers in the country today, DELMONTE Philippines, Inc. It is capital to the landlocked province of the Philippines, Bukidnon.

I’m visiting Malaybalay Bukidnon every year to attend their festival and that is the Kaamulan festival which showcases the unique and indigenous culture of Bukidnon. It can be a wedding ceremony or datuship ritual or a thanksgiving festival.

In this City also you can see The Benedictine Monastery of Transfiguration – considered by its devotees as a refuge but pride itself with its majestic architectural structure.

Now you know some information about Malaybalay Bukidnon, is time you to know the best and delicious dish of this city and that is the Maja Moringa de Queso. There is a good news for this campaign, this City could be win P2 Million Pesos worth of support fund and you have chance to win also P100,00 pesos to participate on this campaign.

Maja Moringa de Queso

This was started last September 4, 2010 and will end on first Sunday of January 2011. From features 100 towns and cities, 9 cities will be selected. From the 9 cities, one will be picked as the winner. The winning town will be awarded seed money for their training materials/ livelihood projects.

1. Buy one Eden 35g, 180g or 450g pack at any supermarkets, public market stalls, groceries, convenience stores or sari-sari stores nationwide.

Pools and Spring Resort Hopping at Bukidnon (7 Destinations in 1 Day Adventures)

What are you doing during the long weekend last week? Did you spend it wisely or did you enjoy over the weekend? This is the best experience I have this year where in we explore the pools and spring resort at Bukidnon. It is a last minute decision by the group where the plan is only visit and enjoys the new pool in Maramag Bukidnon the RR Family Spring Resort. Individually we pitch by Ian together with his wife Ting-Ting and around 6 am we leaved Cagayan de Oro. Since we arrived at RR Family Spring Resort earlier that expected we decided to have a pool hopping at Bukidnon. But before we arrived in RR Resort we visit the most famous tourist spots in Malaybalay, the transfiguration the unique church that I’ve been seen. If you are a reader of this blog you read my post regarding the Falls Hopping at Iligan City and now I will share you the Pools and Spring Resort Hopping at Bukidnon. So this is what your CDO Guide did during the long weekend.

So this is the Pool and spring resort hopping start:

RR family Spring Resort

Our first stop is the RR Family Spring Resort. This place was located at Tubigon, Maramag Bukidnon and it has an entrance of 30 Pesos both adult and children but 2 years old below were free. This resort was open from 7 am to 5 pm and the night swimming will start around 5 pm until 10 pm. They have 4 pools with different levels and the rate of their cottage from 250-600 and it is big already. They have also rooms for those people who would like to stay overnight.

Waig Crystal Resort

The second stop is the Waig Spring Resort; I like this place even though I visited this place for how many times already. This resort located at Purok 8-A, Spring Site, North Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon 8714 or you may contact them at (088) 356-1111, 0921-208-6304 and 0915-553-5384.

Luan-Luan Spring

The 3^rd stop is the Luan-Luan Spring which is located at Quezon campo Uno (1). The entrance of this spring is only 10 pesos with 3 difference level of pools.

Lucky 9 Swimming Pool

The 4^th stop is the Lucky 9 Swimming pool. They have 3 pools with different level with the entrance of 20 pesos each.

Edlimar Farm Spring Resort

The 5^th stop is the Edlimar Farm and Spring Resort is located at Brgy. Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon and a walking distance to MGM Resort.

MGM Mountain Resort

The final and last stop of our Pool and Spring Resort hopping is the MGM Mountain Resort which we visit this resort also for how many times.

NAPOCOR Canyon Pulangi

We stop over also at NAPOCOR Canyon, Pulangi to take pictures and watch the beautiful nature that we have. Bukidnon was blessed by big mountains and springs that people will stop and will enjoy this gift of god to them.

Bukidnon Side Trip

We spent our Lenten holidays this year at Bukidnon which we discover a new Inn in town which is the Villa Estela Fine Inn located at Sayre Highway Anahawon, Maramag, Bukidnon. I and my partner spent our first night in this Inn together with our friend Ian and his family. Before we went to sleep we decided to have a night swimming at WAIG Crystal Spring Resort which is one of the popular resort in Maramag Bukidnon. The resort have lots of changes in their area, they have already a hanging bridge which people like to used this bridge, aside on this they have already a Zip line which people enjoy it and love to try this one. We enjoy the place and I feel the big changes of this resort. We spent 2-3 hours swimming.

In the next morning after our breakfast since its holy Friday and we feel boring in the Inn where we stayed us decided to visit the Zubiri Zoo which is miles away from the Inn we stay. Unfortunately this Zoo is not yet ready to open in the public because the opening of this Zoo will be on May 31, 2010, we fail our first road trip destination. Instead of going back home to our hotel we decided to go to KIbawe which we enjoy the road trip.:-)

After the road trip we go check out to the Inn at the same day and we went to MGM Resort which we spent our 2^nd night in this resort which located long the National Highway in Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon. These resorts have 5 pools with different levels and also they have sports facilities. They have also a Bamboo Hall which you can held your party at this area or Birth day, Re-union, Anniversary, Meeting and Conference or other occasions. We enjoy this place during our stay here.

Going home to Cagayan de Oro we stop some place in Bukidnon whic is considering as a tourist spot. The first stop is in Malaybalay the Monastery of Transfiguration which is located at San Jose Malaybalay. And then stop over somewhere in “Mangima” which they have an over view place there. Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 @ Cagayan de Oro

Kagay-anons got busy when the month of August is coming, because it is the time where Kagay-anons celebrate the fiesta. Preparing events in fiesta is not easy as we think and to broadcast it, so as part of the community of Cagayan de Oro, we the CDO BLOGGERS try to help promote the city and series of schedules in our city through blogging. Aside of promoting the city we blog also on what happened in the event so that our kababayan abroad will know what is happening in their city of Golden Friendship. As we blog the event, our kababayan abroad so happy on what they read in the blogs about Cagayan de Oro and they consider us as CDO GUIDE because we let them know although they are in abroad.

But month of August is already passed and what we will do..? There is no already celebration happened in the next 4 months that kagay-anons can be proud off. Ooooppppsss if you think like that then you are wrong. October 24, 2009 is one of the big months of Kagay-anons, why? It is because CDO BLOGGERS will be hosting the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 (MBS3) here in Cagayan de Oro with the aim of “Mindanao Bag-uhon ang Panan-aw”. This time bloggers from all over Mindanao will have a gathering and even bloggers from Luzon and Bisayas will be attending on this big event. You wonder why it is already 3 and not 1 and 2..? it is because the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 1 was held at Davao last 2007 and the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2 was held at General Santos city (Gen San) last 2008, the bloggers of this 2 blooming city is so active and organize. It is time for the Kagay-anons to host this big event for bloggers.
